Wehrmacht Armband for disabled soldiers

Sold
€350.00

Description

This is a rare original Wehrmacht Armband for disabled soldiers (Armbinde für körperbehinderte Soldaten). The Armband for disabled soldiers was introduced on 28 October 1941. War-disabled (or blinded) soldiers who could only partly participate due to a disability had to wear a yellow armband on each upper arm. The armband displays three black dots and a black iron cross. The armband is executed in a technique similar to the 'BeVo'- weave technique, it is showing the interwoven black-coloured symbols on a golden-yellow-coloured linnen background. A small name-tag is sewn on the inside of the armband. Rare original armband in good used condition!
