Original US WWI M1911 Leather Holster By Milwaukee Saddlery Co. 1942 With Web Pistol BeltOffered here is an authentic WWII-era M1911 leather holster, manufactured by Milwaukee Saddlery Co. and dated 1942. The leather remains strong, supple, and well-preserved, though it does have a faint barn-like odor, which could be treated with leather conditioner if desired. There are some scuff marks on the sides and back of the holster. The 'US' embossed front flap is clear and sharp, and all stitching is fully intact. There is light surface corrosion on the brass hardware, but nothing that affects function or display. Overall, the holster is in very good to excellent condition for its age.Included with the holster is an original web pistol belt. This belt shows heavy age and wear, with staining throughout and surface rust on the hardware. It appears to be a walking-out (dress) version, though any maker markings have worn off with time.Sold as a set.
