Original Third Reich Kampf um's Dritte Reich (Battle for the Third Reich) 1933 First Edition-This is an extremely rare first edition of Kampf um's Dritte Reich: Historische Bilderfolge (Battle for the Third Reich: Historical Picture Series), a softcover 'cigarette card' album published in 1933. The book spans approximately 92 pages and contains over 250 vivid color cigarette cards, all neatly glued in their designated locations. Some minor wear to the covers edges. It measures about 9 1/2' wide by 12 1/2' tall and 1/2' thick, and is in very good to excellent condition.Published shortly after the NSDAP's rise to power, this book served both as a propaganda piece and a collector's item. It features numerous chapters documenting Adolf Hitler's experiences in World War I, the 1923 Beer Hall Putsch, the formation and growth of various NSDAP organizations, and scenes of the Führer traveling across Germany. Also included are sections on National Socialist rallies, meetings, and their 'victory' on January 30th, 1933. Several key figures are profiled, including Hermann Göring, Joseph Goebbels, Ernst Röhm, and other early leaders of the movement.Of particular note is the inclusion of SA Leader Ernst Röhm, who, following the Night of the Long Knives in 1934, was purged along with many other SA leaders. After his execution, Hitler ordered Röhm to be erased from all official Nazi publications.
