Original Early Third Reich SS Dagger With Full Ground Röhm Inscription by Böker-This is an authentic early-production SS dagger by Böker, featuring a fully ground Röhm inscription. A desirable and increasingly difficult piece to find in this condition.Blade:The blade is in very good to excellent condition overall. The acid-etched motto 'Meine Ehre heißt Treue' is crisp and well-executed, showing the faint 'pimpling' often associated with Böker blades.The reverse Röhm dedication has been completely ground off, likely at the factory, as was common after the purge of Ernst Röhm.A portion of the Böker Solingen double oval trademark has also been partially removed in the process.The tip is perfect, and the blade fits tightly to the crossguard.Some crossgraining remains visible but is faint.Very minor gray spotting is present throughout the blade, consistent with age.Scabbard:The black scabbard is a period repainted example, retaining approximately 97% of its finish.A few surface scratches and chips are visible, mostly along the edges.The solid nickel scabbard fittings show only minor age-related wear.The ball tip has a small dent, barely noticeable.All four screws remain intact and undisturbed.The scabbard-to-dagger fit is excellent, closing securely with a 'snap.'Crossguards & Grip:The solid nickel crossguards are in excellent condition with a tight fit to the grip and scabbard.The reverse lower crossguard is district stamped 'I', indicating Munich—typical for Böker SS daggers.The black hardwood grip shows expected pressure marks and handling dings, but no cracks or repairs. Flawless grips are very rare.The solid nickel eagle is sharply detailed and features the classic 'high-neck' eagle often seen on Böker daggers.The SS roundel retains 100% of its enamel. While not the commonly seen Böker type, it is still period correct.Hanger:Included is an early SS leather hanger, unmarked and in excellent supple condition.The hardware shows minor surface corrosion, but remains functional and intact.A highly collectible early SS dagger by Böker with a factory-ground Röhm inscription, desirable nickel fittings, a solid grip, and its original early hanger. A very honest example showing only expected signs of age and use and ready to become a highlight of any collection.
