While showing some signs of age and wear, it remains a very respectable piece—ideal for a new collector or someone looking for an affordable example from this iconic series.Blade:The blade is in good overall condition, showing minor gray spotting and typical runner marks from insertion into the scabbard. The tip is rounded and does not come to a sharp point, though it retains its original edge and full profile with no signs of abuse or sharpening. The reverse is clearly etched with the Carl Eickhorn squirrel logo, a hallmark of authenticity.Scabbard:The steel scabbard is straight and structurally sound, showing some finish loss to the blued surface and areas of very light surface rust in spots. One of the throat screws remains intact, while the other is missing. The scabbard bands are in very good condition, with one displaying a hairline crack, but both retain matching tone and patina, giving the piece a consistent look.Fittings & Grip:The aluminum crossguard and pommel are well-preserved, with sharply defined details and only minor wear from handling.
