Description
Original German WWII M35 Reissued Heer No Decal Helmet ET64-This authentic M35 Heer helmet is an excellent example of a reissued piece and remains in outstanding condition. It retains its original liner and chinstrap. While no decal is currently visible, this helmet likely had a factory-applied Heer decal at one time. The exterior appears to have been repainted, either at the barracks level or possibly returned to a helmet factory for refinishing—evidenced by the repaint being limited to the exterior, with the interior remaining untouched.EXTERIORHelmet: Retains the majority of its original dark field gray paint, featuring a lightly textured factory- or barracks-applied sprayed finish. There are some dry paint drips near the front split pins. Overall, it shows only minor wear from age and use, with some light surface scratches and scuffs.Decal: A factory-applied Heer decal was originally present but appears to have been overpainted during the reissue process. If a decal was reapplied afterward, it has since flaked away entirely.Split Pins: All three are present and tight, retaining most of their reissue paint.INTERIORShell: The interior retains most of its original factory-applied apple green paint, with some wear and a rust spot at the rear rim. Helmet is stamped 'ET64' for Eisenhüttenwerk Thale, size 64, with lot number '3507.'Liner: Features an aluminum-reinforced band with the original leather liner intact. The liner is a deep brown, remains supple, and includes the original drawstring.Chinstrap: Complete and slightly dry from age, but still flexible. Maker marked and dated 1937.This is a highly desirable example of a reissued M35 Heer helmet and would make an excellent addition to any WWII helmet or German militaria collection.
