Weyersberg With 1939 FrogThis bayonet is in excellent overall condition, showcasing its original craftsmanship.Blade: Retains its original bluing with only light aging. Maker marked 'P.WEYERSBERG' one one side of the blade; and has the serial number '4663' on the other side.Grips: Bakelite grips are intact, free of cracks or damage. Minor wear.Locking Button: Fully functional and operates smoothly.Scabbard: Has some very small dents and shows light aging, remaining in very good condition.Included with the bayonet is a marked leather frog featuring aluminum fittings. The leather remains in excellent condition and complements the bayonet well. The frog was most likely issued from the factory as natural brown leather and then dyed black by the soldier. It is clearly marked and dated 1939 on the back. This set, consisting of the bayonet, scabbard, and frog, is a prime example of a collectible WWII German K98 bayonet ensemble in excellent condition.
