Description

This is an attractive - and clearly used- and/or worn! - example of a WH (Heeres) so-called: trade- and/or special-career arm-insignia (or: 'Laufbahn- o. Tätigkeitsabzeichen') as was specifically intended for usage by an army: 'Sanitäter' (or: medical orderly) and that comes in an overall nice- (I deem clearly worn-and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The neat patch is executed on a field-grey-coloured- and/or woolen-based background and shows a (detailed and/or neatly hand-embroidered) 'aesculapus'-sign as executed in bright-yellow-coloured linnen. The non-maker-marked patch is nicely 'backed' with a piece of greyish-blue-coloured linnen as more often encountered. The patch shows some minimal staining simply caused by decades of storage only (and does still show some of its stitching-remains ie. holes). Simply an attractive - and truly used! - WH (Heeres) trade-/specialist badge as was intended for an army 'Sanitäter'!
