WW1 German Ledermaske / Gas Mask 1918

A very much above average textbook example of the standard late war Leather faced / Ledermaske housed in a very good tin retaining much original Field-grey factory paint and most importantly a full set of upper hanging and lower belt straps in unbroken Ersatz Paper/Nettle cloth ! To the inner lid is a pair of spare lenses still in their grease proof wrappers. the mask is good and supple with all straps good and intact . The filter mount is marked D for Dragerwerk of Lubeck. The original twisted paper support string still remains in place . The filter is better than average with some minor surface corrosion and a nice July 1918 ink stamp .
