The AK47 6×2 bayonet, also known as the first model bayonet for the Kalashnikov, is an early Soviet design from the 1950s.Specifically developed for use with the original AK-47, it was later produced under license or imitation by Warsaw Pact countries, including Bulgaria.The design is simple and robust.The blade is straight, with a central fuller, and intended primarily for thrusting.The crossguard features a barrel ring and a distinctive hooked locking mechanism at the top, ensuring secure attachment to the rifle. The handle is made of reddish-brown phenolic resin and has a rectangular profile, characteristic of this early production.The scabbard is made entirely of metal and is equally sturdy.
