WW1 1914 TrioTo- 4612.PTE.W.SMITH.8/R.SCOTSWilliam Smith from Dalkeith first landed in France 5-11-1914 serving with the 8th battalion of the Royal Scots. He went on to serve with the 17th H.L.I with service numbers 5508 & 408544 before returning to his old regiment with service number 41349.
