Original U.S. WWII M1 Early St. Clair Low-Pressure Helmet Liner with Rayon Suspension-Offered here is an authentic and very early WWII U.S. M1 helmet liner, manufactured by St. Clair and yellow inked stamped marking 'SC' in on the interior. This example is a textbook early-war low-pressure type and remains in excellent overall condition, making it a desirable piece for the advanced collector.Liner Body & Finish:The liner retains its original flat olive drab factory-applied exterior finish with light signs of age and use. It features the distinctive rectangular-sided steel (often mistaken for aluminum) washers associated with St. Clair production, all firmly intact.Suspension:This is the rare first pattern white rayon suspension, fully original to the liner. The webbing shows some age-related discoloration but remains in excellent condition with no tears or fraying.Chinstrap:The original stationary leather liner chinstrap is present but is broken on one side and exhibits dryness.
