WD 12 Bore shotgun cartridges widely issued to the Home Guard in an effort to make a shotgun a more effective weapon by making a heavier projectile load. These cartridges were 12 bore SG containing 9x8.mm pellets and are clearly broad arrow ' SG ' marked to the side of the cartridge and manufactured by Eley-Kynoch.
