British Pattern 1882 Mk I, Lee-Metford Bayonet

Sold
$125.00

Description

Original era manufacture. Bright finished double edge blade with a spear point tip. The blade is clean, displaying light spotting and staining along its length, but no pitting. Numerous issue markings, with a date of 10'01.Nice wood grips with two flush-ground brass rivets and oil application hole, with a provision for a cleaning rod in the barrel mounting slot. The steel mounted, leather bodied scabbard has a black paint finish on the body. It is sound, but it does not fit the blade properly, leaving a 1/4 inch gap between the scabbard throat and bottom of the guard.
