SPARS Coast Guard Navy Blue Blouse(B-38.5' W-30')

Vintage WWII US Coast Guard SPARS dark blue uniform blouse.MEASUREMENTS (approximate):Bust- 38 1/2'Waist- 30'Length- 24'Sleeve(shoulder seam to end of cuff) - 22 3/4'Neck- 14 1/2'Nice U.S. Coast Guard labels. This shirt would be worn with a one-piece tie as it does not have buttons for the two-piece necktie. Overall good condition. There is some shine from an iron in places. A few loose strings and some pulls in the material. Some wear around the buttonholes. Some white scuffs on the inside.This same style shirt was used by both WAVES and SPARS; however the material on the Coast Guard blouse is more heavy duty than the normal WAVES blouses (I added a photo comparing the buttons and the material for reference). SPARS were much less common than WAVES. The SPARS numbered over 10,000 women compared to 86,291 WAVES.
