Very scarce gold bullion wire sleeve badge depicting a torpedo on a black backing. Awarded in WW I to a Merchant Navy officer who had survived being on a ship sunk by enemy action. Accompanied by a small, hallmarked silver medallion presented by the Shipping Federation for War services with original owner's details to the rim.
