Description
Excellent GAU Level NSDAP Overseas Cap, constructed of deep tan colored cotton twill, having red wool piping to crown and turn up, lined in light grey colored ribbed cotton and having an oilcloth RZM label sewn behind the tan colored leatherette partial sweatband, cap front with an originally hand applied 1931 pattern woven cap eagle and a 1935 enameled cockade affixed with prongs, lining is stamped in black ink size 57, in excellent condition and perhaps unworn, extremely rare, see page 142 of the book Uniforms of the NSDAP by Jeff Clark for a like example, USD $2750
