Set of two postcard portraits of the same member of SS-Regiment Deutschland, both exhibiting some wear and age yellowing, there are a few cracks to the edges, the later portrait has colored pencil scrawling to the rear, pre war shot shows subject in EM open collared SS pattern service blouse with VT style overseas cap, SS1 collar patch, shoulder straps with embroidered D cyphers and black and silver twisted piping, it is printed on Kodak paper, the wartime portrait shows subject wearing M36 style blouse with Strurmann rank insignia, white piped shoulder straps, embroidered sleeve eagle and visored cap without chinstrap, a party pin is affixed to his necktie, this one is on Agfa paper, both are embossed with the logo of Atelier Oscar Pleier (Czech.) and come with a somewhat tattered onionskin envelope, very interesting, USD $250 SOLD
