Description
Unique Panzerarmee Afrika 1943 Kalendar packed with information, examined by the American War Department, extremely interesting article, standard 1943 edition with photo of Hitler, maps, phrasebook, etc., the calendar itself is well filled out from the period 24 January through 24 April in with closely packed and voluminous entries in pencil to include underlinings, stars and exclamation points, after the latter date, the calendar presumably came into the possession of an American serviceman and the calendar was turned over to intelligence personnel for evaluation, then, at some point the calendar was returned to the American soldier in the accompanying envelope marked War Department, Office of Intelligence Officer in Fort Dix, N.J., the English language entries commence on 25 April (Easter Sunday) with the last entry being made in mid October, the impression is that the American soldier made random entries documenting holidays and the anniversaries of historical events, the calendar is worn through hard service, the binding and some pages are loose, cloth tape hold the front cover to the last existing page dated 3 Nov., amazing set, USD $500 WITHDRAWN
