Interesting photo album of American G.I. that participated in Operation Torch and the invasion of North Africa, album with padded vinyl cover having palm tree, camel and star motif, album has 15 thick waxed double sided pages to which are taped an assortment of snapshots, a section from a French navy cap band, a section of the invasion armband as worn by American troops, a German minefield marker, various newspaper clippings and pieces of local currency, security instructions, a typed sheet about what kind of soldiers engineers are and so on, the photos depict friends, interesting natives and native scenes, a ship in the harbor, etc., most pieces are held with a (decidedly sticky) cellophane tape but some photos and clippings are loose, just under 50 photos, very interesting, USD $195 SOLD
