Set including Soldbuch and award document for Heer Major German Cross in Gold recipient, Italian front, subject was awarded DKiG in August '44 while commanding I./A.R. 362 of the 362 Inf Div. on the Italian front in positions facing allied landing at Anzio outside Florence on the Gothic Line, the group consists of his original Soldbuch issued in 1939 with photo of subject wearing service blouse stapled inside, subject served with Art. Rgt. 268 of the 268. Inf. Div. from '39 through '43, entered awards include Spange zum EK2, Spange zum EK1, Sturmabzeichen, Ostmedaille, Wound Badge in Silver, KVK2, and DKiG, also includes his WWI Soldbuch (pages loose, back cover missing), showing his EK2 and EK1 awards as well as others, also included are subject's German Cross in Gold award document, a letter from Oberbergermeister of Wurzen congratulating him on the award of the DKiG, in addition the Wehrpass and NSDAP Gesundheitspass of his son are included, there are three private photos depicting Heer officers in the field, there is a typewritten Ausweis for the subject dated 30 April 1945, finally there are several flyers for insertion into the Soldbcuch such as a piece on how to avoid malaria, swastika on Soldbuch cover is denazified and the lastmost page is loose, very interesting, USD $2000 WITHDRAWN
