Heer M42 rough texture dual color camouflaged helmet, both shell stampings are at the rear, NS64, lot number 4398, internally having steel liner bands, pins with their washers have not been interfered with and there is significant dust buildup, the leather liner is stamped size 57 and retains it flexibility, there are holes to two rear fingers, a former owner's name, and what may be an inventory number, are penned to the leather, the drawstring is present, with full length unmarked chinstrap, the external factory finish is overpainted in a subtle camouflage of olive with dark brown splotches, the camo colors were applied by hand, with the brown areas being painted over the olive, the paint was mixed with some other substance such as sand or sawdust to create a less reflective, roughly textured surface (the studio photographs do not fully capture the camouflage effects - interested parties may request sample photos in natural sunlight), there are a few scuffs to the top and right side, overall paint coverage would rate better than 90%, interesting specimen, USD $2125 SOLD
