Description
Luftwaffe M40 single decal tan camouflaged helmet, early factory blue grey finish was over sprayed externally in a deep tan color covering the completely intact decal which is still visible, each liner pin still has a good amount of the matching paint, there are a few chips and scratches to the finish but no large areas of worn finish, shel stamped ET64, lot number 1159, having 1940 dated steel liner bands, liner has not been disturbed and there is a good deal of dust between shell and bands, washers are still in place, the leather liner is worn but intact with string, it is stamped size 56 and has the letters K S are inked to the rear portion, the long portion of the leather chinstrap is missing the tip, never cleaned and with some light traces of rust to the inner shell, super example, USD $5500 SOLD
