Description
Heer M40 single decal olive tan camouflaged helmet, Q66 shell, lot number 31179, steel liner band dated 1941, all pins and washers are tight, darkened leather liner is undamaged and still has its drawstring, full length chinstrap is maker marked and dated 1937, the factory field grey finish was over painted by hand with a uniform smooth coat of olive tan paint, the inner skirt was also painted, the eagle decal was painted around and over 90% of it remains, quite a bit of the camo paint still adheres to the liner pins, there are gouges and scratches to the paint and areas of scratching, light rust mottling and the like, quite dirty on the inside, striking, USD $4750 SOLD
