Unique Heer M40 tan and green sand camouflaged helmet, the heavy tan camouflage base coat mixed with fine sand was applied by hand and extended to the inner rim and encrusted the liner pins and vents, later the base tan finish was over sprayed in a dark green color, potentially with a bread bag strap being in place on the helmet when this was done, the rim and a couple of spots to the shell have areas where the camo paint have worn away exposing the darkened base metal, well over 90% of the camo finish remains, the inner rim's heavy paint makes it impossible to read maker or lot number stamps, shell size is 64, with steel liner bands, all washers are still in place, there is significant dust, insect parts and other debris between liner bands and shell, the leather liner is well worn and chafed at the edges, it is stamped size 57, the original liner string is still present and it holds one separated liner finger, the chinstrap end has been trimmed, really different, USD $4200 SOLD
