ADM70 Excellent Luftwaffe M35 single decal tricolor spray camouflaged helmet

Excellent Luftwaffe M35 single decal tricolor spray camouflaged helmet, with 1938 dated reinforced aluminum liner bands, the liner pin washers have not been disturbed and there is a great deal of dirt, spider webs, etc., between liner bands and shell, the internal dome as well as the sections of the lower rim have light rust, the brown leather liner is darkened from wear but supple and completely intact, a former owner's name is inked to the liner's forehead area, having a full length brown leather chinstrap which is embossed to a Walsrode based maker, the liner string is a variant but looks to be original to the helmet, the factory applied smooth blue grey paint was over sprayed in a dark tan color to which dark green and red brown colors were subsequently applied, almost completely covering the tan base coat, the helmet pins still have most of their camo paint, the later style Luftwaffe eagle decal is completely covered, there is no sign of a national colors shield, there are the usual scratches and scuffs to the matte paint and just a couple of small areas of actual camo paint loss, shell is stamped NS64, lot number is E138, USD $5200 SOLD
