French Second Empire, M1860 Shako Plate, 85th Regiment

Original era manufacture. A stamped brass eagle plate as worn on the M1860 enlisted shako.Cut-out numbers for the 85th regiment, and a brass tab on the reverse for attaching to the shako. Very sound condition with a nice brass patina, only issue is that the tiny cross on the top of the crown is missing.
