RH16 One of a kind Heer M42 single decal tricolor camouflaged helmet

One of a kind Heer M42 single decal tricolor camouflaged helmet, shell embossed ET64, lot number looks to read 4820, steel liner bands, all pins with washers tightly installed, leather liner is stamped size 56, full length chinstrap has RBNr, with clear dome stamp, internal paint has some scratches and a few areas of light rust, much time and effort went into hand applying the camo finish, first, sections of tan paint were applied in splotches leaving bars of the factory field grey finish between these sections visible, to those factory painted sections medium green paint was applied to the centers only and not extending to the edges, finally light coats were applied to the center areas of the tan camo sections, all helmet pin heads are located in the tan areas, the left side pin has the red brown paint, the other two have lost much of their paint, the Heer decal was carefully painted around and, although there are numerous tiny scratches, is mostly intact, there are areas of chipping to the left rear side as well as the top, smaller scratches and gouges are scattered over the dome, approximately 85% of the painted finish remains, USD $4500 SOLD
