Heer M35 single decal half basket chickenwire helmet, helmet was factory or depot repainted in rougher textured field grey paint to include a new now gold toned decal, the chickenwire closely conforms to the helmet's dome and is snugly held into place by a loop of baling wire which is joined together at the rear, two additional lengths of baling wire positioned at the rear skirt side hold the basket firmly into place, shell is stamped EF60 and the lot number 21549, a former wearer's initials are painted to the inner rear skirt, having reinforced aluminum liner bands, pins are tight and all washers are present, the darkened leather liner is undamaged, the drawstring remains, with intact and full length chinstrap, shell has some scratches to the paint and the exposed metal is uniformly dark, pins mostly lack their finish, paint coverage is about 90%, the decal perhaps 80%, nice one, USD $2950 SOLD
