Description
Excellent Prussian Infanterie officer M95 Pickelhaube with storage case, having a black leather body with some age crazing to the lacquered finish, Preussen pattern gilt helmet plate with burnished highlights is held in place with two nuts and bolts, removable spike is also attached with four nuts and bolts, the front visor and neck guard are firmly and originally sewn into place, the dark brown leather sweatband is a bit stiff, has cracks and is loose at the left rear, with deep orange colored ribbed fabric liner, estimate size 55/56, having undamaged gilt chin scales with leather backing, the Kokardes have almost all of their paint, the accompanying leather case is lined in off white padded ribbed cotton, the leather handle and closure straps are a bit soft and have lost some of their finish but are complete and functional, case does does not have holes or dents, great looking set, USD $1250 SOLD
