BSI17 Austrian Model 1915 field cap

Austrian Model 1915 field cap, constructed of field grey wool and having a visor made of the same material, the folding neck cape is fasted at the front with two alloy buttons with perhaps half of their green painted finish, the left side has sheath of the same material machine sewn to the side to hold a spray of flowers as worn by K.K. Landwehr and K.u.K. border Jäger troops, lining is of a gauze like cotton having a faint purplish shade, the top lining panel is faded and appears to be stamped in black ink F.M., the cap has a full leather sweatband but it is somewhat desiccated having some small missing pieces, the inner brim stiffener exhibits some misshaping, cap shows some wear but the fabric portions are free of damage or repair, estimate size 52, USD $1000 SOLD
