Lightweight summer or mountain jacket, consignor states of Imperial origin and found near the Gothic Line in Tuscany, seemingly adapted for use in the Second World War with the addition of silver pebbled buttons and early quality Heer Infanterie EM shoulder straps with red battalion loops, the shoulder straps are actually sewn to the shoulder seams rather than being held with bridles, the front closure buttons have all the appearance of being period sewn, shell style jacket is made entirely of hardy tan colored cotton twill, having a large lay flat collar with steel hook and eye, with six button front, two flapped patch hip pockets and false French cuffs, there are two internal buttoned breast pockets, showing a good bit of soiling and some staining to the rear shoulder, USD $485 SOLD
