CJU12 Beautiful 1910 pattern Feldrock for a Prussian Artillerie officer

Beautiful 1910 pattern Feldrock for a Prussian Artillerie officer, constructed of issue quality field grey wool and with a front closure having eight buttons, with stand and fall collar, barrel cuffs and with a rear decorated skirt, the blouse is lined in olive colored ribbed artificial silk, there are two internal breast pockets and one internal lower buttoned skirt pocket, the right inner breast pocket has a Braunschweig tailor's label with former owner's name and Sept. 1917 date, the lower edges of the stand and fall collar and the upper edges of the cuff are piped in black wool, the front closure and tail components are piped in red wool, garment has the complete complement of olive painted crowned and backed steel buttons and all appear to be originally sewn, the officer shoulder boards with red bases still have the narrow slip on loops in place but are originally sewn in, each board has a gilt flaming bomb with the numerals 501, considering the garment is almost 100 years old the condition is spectacular, there is little noticeable soiling or nap wear, damage is minimal - there are minor abrasions to the inner skirt lining, additionally there are a few tiny insect holes (all less than .5cm in diameter), two at the inner collar edge, three pinhead sized holes adjacent to the third from top closure button, one at the lower front skirt parallel to the pocket flaps, one at the left hip, one at the left rear upper shoulder and one at the inner third from top closure buttonhole, in addition there is a well executed small 1x1cm repair with matching fabric at the upper right front shoulder, finally there are a few loose stitches at the left rear barrel cuff where it attaches to the sleeve, very nice example, USD $2750 WITHDRAWN
