Saxon parade helmet for officer in Garde-Reiter-Regiment Dresden, rare example only lightly worn, with full brown leather sweatband and having a white silk lining, the inner tail is lined in light colored suede leather, the parade lion is fastened with a screw, wingnut and washer, the gold finished helmet body has the silver starburst plate with gold-plated coat of arms, the metal chinscales are attached to a leather chin cord with buckle, gilt covers are applied over both rosettes, the lion holds a gilt metal crowned cypher, entire ensemble is in near excellent condition, this piece is in the hands of a consignor and will be shipped directly from him to the buyer, USD $19,950 SOLD
