Description

Sachsen M1895 EM Picklehaube, black leather body with fine age cracks to the lacquered finish, mostly to the upper area, the front visor and neck guard are factory machine sewn into place and the stitching is very strong, the front visor trim is slightly loose and mildly dented from use, the rear spine trim is tightly affixed, the front plate is affixed with two leather wedges and the spike is secured with four domed rivets, one of the spike's ventilation hole has an adjoining break, the black leather liner is a bit curled from age but is easily pliable, its black leather drawstring remains, the helmet is unit stamped and dated on the neck guard's underside and the former owner's name was added with pen or pencil, the Reichs Kokarde retain almost 100% of its paint while the Sachsen Kokarde shows rust with about 75% of the painted finish remaining, the black leather has been treated and the slide buckles show traces of verdigris, front plate and spike are in great condition and the overall appearance is excellent, please inquire to info@virtualgrenadier.com for additional detailed information and photos, USD $1150 SOLD
