Description

Imperial Japanese Army Type 90 helmet with camouflage cover and net, brown painted steel shell over which is applied a deep tan colored cotton cover held with a knotted drawstring and over that a light olive colored net, the cover has an olive colored wool circle with machine sewn yellow wool star machine sewn to the front, above that is a metal kanji with the uppermost piece looking to have been broken off, the kanji appears to be affixed to the cover with prongs, the helmet's inner front rim also has kanji applied with white paint, the light brown colored leather liner is complete with drawstring still in place and is held to the shell with a leather band and the helmet pins, each of the three liner sections have their original pads and the reverse of one of these has a stamping, both the long knotted leather chinstrap as well as the leather liner is in fine condition, helmet was worn but is fairly clean, the net has one broken section and another is a bit frayed, handsome example, USD $3250 SOLD
