Imperial Japanese Naval Type 90 helmet for ground forces with camouflage net, brown painted steel shell having metal imperial chrysanthemum over anchor affixed to the front, externally the painted finish is darkened from use and age and there are numerous chips to the paint revealing the browned base steel, having white painted Kanji on inner rear shell and with the numerals 4754 painted to the inner dome, internal paint is a bit brighter with some rust to the inner dome, the dark brown colored leather liner is complete with drawstring still in place, each of the three liner sections have their original pads, the 'finger tips' of a couple of the liner pads are quite dry and one tip is damaged, the full length webbed chinstrap has some rust staining and areas of abrading, the brown colored and heavily glazed net extends over the helmet's rim and is held in place with a knot at the helmet's inner rear, overall the helmet is rather dusty and is in its original undisturbed condition, USD $2750 SOLD
