Excellent and rare U.S. M41 Paratrooper jump jacket, made for only a short period before the introduction of the M42 jump suit which had bellowed pockets and two snaps per pocket flap, made of light olive colored ribbed cotton, with zippered front, the four patch pocket's flaps have one snap each, there is a pair of snaps at each cuff, the integral belt has darkened steel adjustment buckle and a snap, the shoulder straps each have a snap and there are two snaps at the throat, the upper back has a large inverted pleat, the zipper is marked TALON, the inner rear back is stamped in black ink size 40 and with a series of smaller numbers below, garment was lightly worn and there are a few stains and some soiling, rank badges look to have been applied to the shoulder straps at one time, in the pocket are a pair of silver pin back Major rank oakleaves, very nice example of hard to find U.S. Airborne kit, USD $4500 SOLD
