Rare WWII U.S. Marine Corps first pattern paratrooper smock with correct USMC marked leather helmet, smock constructed of USMC pattern HBT drill material, with Eagle, Globe and Anchor and USMC transfers and machine applied nametag (Beaver) tape on the left breast, smock is complete with padded canvas elbow pads and lower canvas patch pockets, the upper breast and rear back pockets have domed snaps, the riveted cuffs buttons are marked U.S. MARINE CORPS, the front closure and pocket zippers are marked TALON and all function, the accompanying leather helmet is complete with detachable padded chin cop and has maker and size labels machine sewn to the interior, a black stamp U.S.M.C. was applied to the lower left rear of the helmet, helmet is in excellent condition, smock is service used but in near excellent condition, with just light age, minor staining, a couple of picks and one small frayed area to the left rear seat, seldom seen, set USD $2500 WITHDRAWN
