SFP Civilian Protective Helmet.

A 1941 dated example of the Fire Watcher's or Zuckerman pattern Civilian Protective helmet marked for members of a Supplementary or Street Fire Party. Manufactured by either Vauxhall or Viners whose intials appear stamped to the inner rim along with the date. A size 7 liner is held by its original bootlace suspension with a missing chinstrap. Marked ' S.F.P. ' in the form of a transfer to front and reverse which has been over varnished. Internal label indicating ownership by ' A.R.P. Controller, A.R.P. Store St.Albans '. In good used condition withsome areas of minor wear and corrosion to paint.
