British War and Victory Medals, named to:J.48266 G.HODSON.A.B.R.N.Medals very fine or better, on original ribbons.George Hodson was born on 25th January 1895 at Haigh, Wigan, Lancs.His trade was given as an Insurance Agent.He joined the Royal NAVY IN January 1916.His service included H.M.S.ATTENTIVE and CALEDON from July 1917 to July 1918 and until March 1919 when he was shore demobilised. He would have been present aboard Caledon when she was involved in the second battle of Heligoland Bight where she was hit by a 12 inch shell.Comes with copied service record
