WW1 1914 StarTo- 971.PTE.F.J.HICKS.1/NORTH'D.FUSFrederick James Hicks was born in Tetbury, Gloucestershire & enlisted at Marston Hill, Gloucester. Whilst living in Quenington. He first landed in France with the battalion 27-8-1914 & was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 27-10-1914 age 31. He has no known grave but is commemorated on the Le Touret memorial.GVF or better & complete with basic research details that include a copy newspaper cutting with regards to the recipients death that includes a small head & shoulders image of the recipient in uniform.
