WW1 Victory medal & memorial plaqueTo- 7-927.SJT.J.MACDONALD.N.Z.E.FJohn Macdonald enlisted 14-12-1914 & served in Egypt & the Balkans before arriving in France in 1916. He was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 1-10-16 serving with the 2nd Canterbury infantry regiment of the N.Z.E.F & is buried in thistle dump cemetery at High Wood, Longueval.EF/MINT & Complete with the recipients original certificate of service, letter to his father forwarding the memorial plaque & original CWGC commission letter. along with modern CWGC details. He is also entitled to the 1914-15 star & British war medal.
