German Tracht Traditional Belt

Vintage 1920s / 1930s German velvet tracht traditional belt for a dirndl dress. Nice edelweiss and enzian mountain flowers. Three glass buttons on each end. It measures about 29' end to end. There is no way to attach the belt to itself. I wonder if perhaps a ribbon wrapped around the buttons would cinch it closed and look the part. Overall fairly good condition with some general wear. There is some white writing on the back on one end.
