WW2 British Mk.III Helmet - Textured Paint

A nice example of a Mk.III helmet with distinctive high rivets. The outside has been painted with a brown coloured textured paint. This helmet would have been originally fitted with a net as shadowing pattern can be observed as well as a triangle shape to both sides. The latter possibly concealing some form of unit marking or decal. The helmet is fitted with a Mk.II liner stamped JCS&W II 1940 7 (J Compton Sons & Web Ltd) and correct chinstrap. An iconic helmet as seen and first issued to troops prior to the D-Day landings.
