WWII German Army Pith Helmet-This example has a tan cotton body that is very clean and shows little to no visible wear. The shields are in great condition with most of the finish intact. The green leather chinstrap is fine as is the same material trim around the perimeter of the brim. The underside of the brim is finished in the same material as the rest of the exterior. The interior is finished is red cotton that is excellent. The tan leather sweatband is very soft and maker stamped with a motto inside a triangle. The underside of the sweatband is stamped with the date, 1942 as well as the size, 56 and 'ORL'. There is also a size tag. Excellent!
