WWII German Army Model 1943 Field Cap for Mountain Personnel-This example is produced in field grey wool that is near excellent. It is very clean and has very minor tracking around the insignia. The side flaps terminate at the front with a single brown bakelite button. The left side has a metal edelweiss mountain flower cipher, indicating that this was for a mountain trooper. The insignia is a 'T' type, machine woven over green. The interior is fully lined in an orange rayon that is very clean. It has minor wear from use. The maker name is stamped in black ink and reads Peter Küpper, Wu.-Ronsdorf. He went by 'PeKuRo'. The size is stamped as well, 54 ½. This is a great cap!
