WWII German Waffen SS Panzer Model 1943 Field Cap-This is the highly desirable, Dachau produced black lightweight wool field cap worn by members of the Waffen SS panzer units. Aside from some minor fading, this black wool is in great condition. The side flaps terminate at the front with a pair of black bakelite buttons. The one piece, black badge cloth, trapezoid shaped insignia has machine embroidered silvery grey eagle and Totenkopf. The bill has the exposed cardboard underside that all of these caps have. It has a very slight crease, also a common thing with these caps. The interior is fully lined in light grey HBT and its super clean. It is size stamped 56. Excellent overall!
