WWII German Waffen SS Model 1943 Field Cap-This other ranks example is produced in field grey Italian gabardine and it is a great looking example. There is minor wear and minor discoloration from use. The side flaps terminate at the front with a pair of grey bakelite buttons. One or both may have been replaced as they are a slightly different color. The one piece, machine woven, trapezoid shaped insignia is hand applied. It is green with matte silver Totenkopf and eagle. The bill has a very slight fold to the support, very common on these but in this case, very minor. The interior is fully lined in green cotton. There is minor wear and minor discoloration from use. It has an ink stamp for the size, 58. This is a very desirable combat worn cap!
