A rare original circa 1930's period motor vehicle manufacturer 'Standard Motor Company promotional lapel badge'; small brass black enamel feathered wing, the central blue enamel square bearing a red Union Jack band inscribed above and below 'STANDARD COVENTRY'; the reverse impressed with early maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Limited Birmingham'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, no stress marks or defects to the enamel, an excellent example.Width approx 35mm.During WW2 Standard Motor Company turned to aircraft and armoured car production.
